Our story

Once upon a time there were two sun-chasing, earth-loving humans who liked growing stuff and eating it. A lot. One day we looked at our grassy field and said, “Reckon we could turn that into dinner?” Turns out… yes. Mostly. (RIP to the first batch of carrots.)

We just like dirt, fresh air, and food that actually tastes like food. So we grabbed some seeds, made a whole lot of compost, went full no-dig nerds, and started experimenting.

Some things grew beautifully. Some things absolutely did not. There were crooked cucumbers, tiny pumpkins with big dreams, and lettuces that rotted like they had a personal hate towards us. But somewhere between the compost turning, worm juice brewing, and kids asking a million questions, Homegrown quietly became a thing.

Now we grow real veggies for real people — picked fresh, packed fast, and delivered straight from our garden. No chemicals, no sprays, no funny business. Sometimes your spinach might have a hole in it or a tiny bug waving hello. That’s nature saying, “You’re welcome.”

Homegrown is just our family doing what we love: growing food, teaching our kids that carrots come from the ground (not plastic bags), looking after the soil, and feeding our local community one box at a time. It’s simple, a little bit messy, and exactly how we like it.

Weekend Market
Who we are

So, who are we? Just a family who loves growing veggies and believes small-scale farming really can change the world - one box of fresh produce at a time.

Why it matters

Because food should be simple, local, and grown with love - not plastic-wrapped and shipped across the country. Because our kids should know what carrots look like when they’re pulled from the ground. We’re not certified organic, but we believe everything we do on our little farm has biodiversity and sustainability at its core, driven by the no-dig approach to our soil.

Our raised beds are fertilised with our very own home-grown compost and chicken manure, which keeps the worms and plants happy. We are not a big operation, and every dollar we earn gives us the opportunity to keep growing more.

Choosing Home Grown Harvesting means supporting food grown with integrity, care, and respect for the earth. Every seed, every harvest, and every delivery is done with love, presence, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

We welcome you
